Retired actress Dalyce Curry passed away at the age of 93.DALYCE CURRY/FACEBOOKRetired actress Dalyce Curry has died as a result of the ongoing Los Angeles wildfires. She was 95.Her remains were found days after the fire burned down her Altadena property, as confirmed by her great-granddaughter Dalyce Kelley on Facebook.“We had a great run.” wrote Kelley. “She impacted my life in so many ways. This loss is devastating.”According to ABC 7, Kelley dropped off her grandmother, Dalyce Curry, at home around midnight on Tuesday after a full day at the hospital. At the time, she went to attend to other family members.Kelley was awakened by a text that the power had gone out in Curry’s home. That’s when Kelley drove to her great-grandmother’s home, where a police officer informed her Curry’s house was completely burned down.Curry had not been seen since that night, and Kelley could not find her at the Pasadena Civic Center, which houses displaced individuals. Kelley then reached out to the public to help find her great-grandmother in a Facebook post last Wednesday.The former actress, also known as “Momma D,” starred in films such as “The Ten Commandments,” “The Blues Brothers,” and “Lady Sings the Blues.”Related coverage:Our journalism needs your support.
