Final Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League Episode Coming Tomorrow – TheGamer

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, Rocksteady’s beleaguered live-service looter shooter, will release its final episode on Tuesday. In a post shared on Twitter, the game will undergo maintenance ahead of Episode 8’s release, with the final piece of content expected to release shortly after. Once released, it’ll not only complete the Year 1 roadmap for the game, but finish the game’s support entirely. Late last year, Rocksteady announced that Season 4 would mark the end of the game’s run, with the long-awaited offline mode, along with the final DLC character (Deathstroke) being added to the game. The success of titles like Among Us and Valheim during the early pandemic did not accurately represent the long-term appetite for games as a service.Originally released in February 2024, Suicide Squad was largely panned at launch, with its Steam player count dipping below 1,000 shortly after release. And things largely never improved from then on out. Its first DLC (an Elseworlds version of the Joker) was not particularly liked. Meanwhile, the plot twist that was revealed in Season 2 had fans rolling their eyes before any remaining players blasted Season 3’s character choice. The game did manage to experience a resurgence in early December following Black Friday sales, with a player count of well over 2,500, and it did make its way to PlayStation Plus as a free monthly game. All the while, Rocksteady was hit by two separate waves of layoffs, including an initial series in September followed by a recent wave just several days ago. For its part, Warner Bros. admitted the game had “fallen short” of expectations, and reporting affirmed that the company took a $200 million hit. In other words, it’s been an eventful 11 months for all parties. All of that will seemingly come to an end on Tuesday, thus putting to an end one of gaming’s biggest stories of 2024.Susan Storm might be the best support hero yet. We want to hear from you! Share your opinions in the thread below and remember to keep it respectful.Your comment has not been savedIt’s official: the Live service game genre is dead. When I say dead, I mean it’s impossible to release any more successful ones.Racing games are killing it in that genre. A ton coming out this year. lol not even going to bring up Mrs dei freeze ?As poorly as the game was handled, we can rest assured knowing that it would have been far worse had someone who thinks like you been at the helm. The game had so many fails that it’s hard to keep track of them all. Guess they decided its time to put out the dumpster fire. With a retcon to end all retcon, it’s safe to say fans aren’t happy.Almost as if the entire thing never happened. You weren’t really one spot away from picking the right card. It’s super sparkly, just like BBQ!Honkai: Star Rail doesn’t shy away from making different paths of the Trailblazer strong, and this is no different for the Remembrance one.”Cheating in any form is something we will battle relentlessly.”
