January 13, 2025 Today with Jenna & Friends show co-anchor Jenna Bush Hager has begun the journey of hosting the show solo after longtime co-host Hoda Kotb’s exit.Bush Hager was joined in the episode by actress and advocate Taraji P. Henson, who became the first guest co-host on the show.The duo first talked about the devastating wildfires in Los Angeles, with Henson telling Bush Hager: “I’m so glad to be here with you, though. Because this is a great opportunity. Humans need humans and we step up and we bring the world joy. We can’t all go dark.””The fact that you’re here today when your beloved city is hurting, and you could be anywhere, but you’re bringing joy and goodness,” Bush Hager told Henson. “It means a lot to me, and it’s our first day, which is a little crazy.”When asked about her solo venture, she joked that she married her husband Henry Hager when she was 26 years old and called herself a “child bride.””And so I haven’t dated, and this is kind of my dating era, and you’re my first date,” Bush Hager quipped to Henson.Copyright © 2025.
