WSJ: Mohammed Sinwar Recruiting ‘Hit-And-Run’ Fighters To Combat IDF Control Of Northern Gaza – VINNews
By Yehuda DovJERUSALEM (VINnews) — Hamas has launched an intensive recruitment campaign to replenish its ranks, aiming to recover from the significant losses it has sustained from the IDF since the beginning of the war, according to a report in The Wall Street Journal Monday morning.According to the report, the person currently leading this effort is Mohammed Sinwar, the brother of Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar, who was eliminated by the IDF a few months ago. A senior IDF officer told the American newspaper, “We are working hard to find him.”According to the detailed report, the terrorist organization is working to recruit new members, including young and inexperienced individuals in combat. The IDF believes Hamas has recruited hundreds of people in recent months, with a focus on the northern part of the Gaza Strip. Arab sources claim that in Israel, it has been said that the number may reach into the thousands.New recruits are reportedly engaging in “hit-and-run” attacks, operating in small cells of individual fighters. They use rifles and anti-tank missiles, which require less military training. The report also mentions that Hamas “persuades” young people to join by offering them food, medical aid, and support for themselves and their families. According to Arab sources, some of the group’s activities also involve stealing humanitarian aid. Hamas operatives reportedly attend funerals and prayer gatherings in Gaza, where they recruit young people. The recruitment campaign poses a challenge to Israel, as the influx of new fighters prolongs the fighting. Hamas is using the new recruits to re-enter areas previously hit by the IDF, attempting to restore them, which leads to repeated Israeli military actions in those locations.Mohammed Sinwar, who previously commanded the Khan Yunis Brigade, was the mastermind behind the 2006 kidnapping of Gilad Shalit and worked to secure his brother’s release in a 2011 prisoner exchange deal. He rose through the ranks of the military wing, gained significant experience, and earned the trust of Hamas leaders. However, despite his military abilities, Sinwar has not gained the popularity his brother enjoyed There are also rumors about problematic behavior in Palestinian society, particularly regarding his involvement in issues that are considered “problematic” in Arab street culture.Although Mohammed Sinwar is considered the most powerful military figure in Gaza, he is far less powerful and capable than his brother Yahya Sinwar or Mohammed Deif. Currently, his main focus is on survival and trying to rebuild the capabilities of the terrorist organization, which has been severely weakened by the IDF since the conflict began.ΔΔMeanwhile israel is being pressured to make deal (to my not so easy feeling it’s by Trump)sorry I am a strong Trump supporterPlace him on the Mossad’s most wanted list, so he can meet his brother, IN HELLLL !!!
