Meghan Markle has pushed back the launch of her upcoming Netflix show, “With Love, Meghan” due to the L.A. wildfires.
The series, which features the Duchess of Sussex cooking up a storm for a variety of friends including Mindy Kaling and her former “Suits” co-star Abigail Spencer, was set to premiere on Jan. 15.
Following the wildfires in California, however, the L.A. native asked Netflix to push back the launch. It will now bow on the streamer on March 4.
“I’m thankful to my partners at Netflix for supporting me in delaying the launch, as we focus on the needs of those impacted by the wildfires in my home state of California,” Markle said in a statement.

The show, which is understood to have been filmed in Markle’s current hometown of Santa Barbara, also features Roy Choi, Alice Waters and an appearance from Markle’s husband Prince Harry. The eight-part series is directed by Michael Steed.
The fires, which started on Tuesday, are fast becoming one of the worst natural disasters in California’s history. So far 16 deaths have been confirmed as well as the destruction of more than 10,000 structures, displacing thousands of people. Firefighters are continuing to battle multiple fires amid adverse weather conditions.
On Friday, Markle and Harry visited the Pasadena Convention Center alongside Gavin Newsom’s wife Jennifer to meet those affected by the fires. They also posted a statement on their official website on Thursday asking others who are safe to open their homes to victims of the fires.
“If a friend, loved one, or pet has to evacuate and you are able to offer them a safe haven in your home, please do,” Harry and Markle wrote. “And be sure to check in with any disabled or elderly neighbors to see if they need help evacuating.”
