Click through here to the official site to sign up and be in with a chance of playing early.Via FromSoftware, the sessions will take place every day between the 14th and 17th of February 2025. Please see below for the times:Original Story: First a surprise announcement at The Game Awards last month and now soon to be playable, the sign-ups for the Elden Ring Nightreign network test will go live from tomorrow. To register and be in with a chance of taking part, you’ll need to go to the official website page for the game when sign ups are available and enter your details. We will update this page when the opportunity is live on the site.As the website reveals, you’ll get to “play a portion of the game prior to the full game launch”. It then continues: “Various technical verifications of online systems will be examined by conducting large-scale network load tests.” It appears that the network test will only be available on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, with no PS4 icon appearing on the page. The full title will receive a PS4 version, however. The network test itself will take place at some point next month. As was explained when the Elden Ring spin-off was first revealed, Nightreign is a co-op-focused take on the gameplay of Elden Ring, condensed down into a roughly 45-minute session. Over the course of three days and nights, you’ll work together to improve your character and fight bosses, both from Elden Ring and previous Dark Souls entries. You always have to be on the move, as a Battle Royale-like acid rain mechanic makes the play space smaller and smaller. It can be played in single player and offline, but the focus is the three-player mode.Everything you need to knowWill you be trying to get into the Elden Ring Nightreign network test tomorrow? Nowadays, he’s found playing the latest and greatest PS5 games as well as supporting Derby County. That last detail is his downfall.Comments 20Really don’t know how I feel about this game, Feels like wasted resources and a cash grab over the hype of Elden Ring. This will be the first FromSoft game I don’t buy. It’s odd even saying that especially since it’s my favorite franchise. I am curious to see how well it does. I’ve nothing against the game, it just isn’t for me. I’ll pick up the artbook if they release one for it.Leaves me with a lot of hmmm….Edit: I signed up anyway just to see what it’s like. Then I’ll make my decision if I want to dive in!I’ll sign up. Why not? If I like it, I’ll buy it. If I remain skeptical or I feel like ER is oversaturated for me at the moment, I’ll pass.Ima try to get it on this. I love Soulsborne games, but I’m not totally sold on this so maybe if I get to play it first I can see if it’s for me or not.I’ll definitely sign up and hope I can get in to give the game a try. I like the sound of the game.I’ll probably sign up and give it a go. I’m not sure yet whether the game is for me, but this sort of crowd-pleasing fare is just a sign that From Soft’s output is finally gaining the popularity it deserves. Might as well get on board and celebrate.I don’t know, I have the feeling that the gameplay will be fun at the beginning but will quickly get old and repetitive. We are so back, boys!!! I want to see what they’re cooking up with this title.Absolutely not, so incredibly stupid to not allow duos. As a father with a full time job it’s hard enough to find even one friend that can match my schedule – having to find two friends consistently for a challenging game means it’s an automatic no for me.@ItsAlwaysSunnyyy The fact we can’t play in duos is so odd to me.We can do solo or trios…but not two people? I wish they’d at least explain their logic behind that decision. I want them to make it make sense lolI dunno, I don’t like the battle royale thing, but I like everything else.@Majin_Deicide They did – apparently the game will scale to one or three players and they want three players to feel accomplished upon defeating a boss. Makes little sense and is very dumbSurprised at how negative all these comments are. People here seem to be viewing the network test as a way to see if they want to buy the game or not.I want to play the network test because I NEED to play Nightreign lolI need more details on the single player experience before I commit to this game.@James_42 The trailer for the game was enough for me to make my mind up about it. I’m sure you were the same when Concord got revealed right?@Oram77 No? The game wasn’t released and we didn’t know what exactly it was be so I hadn’t made my mind up about it.@James_42 Must of been the only person not to write the game off after the reveal, I commend you I guess.Looks like a cash grab to me – I sense that this ‘game’ may have originally been intended as an add-on to Elden Ring. Dear From Software, just give us something to be excited about such as a 60fps patch for Bloodborne – or better still, Bloodborne 2!@ItsAlwaysSunnyyy yep. This is the deal breaker for me. Virtually impossible to find two people and all sync up these days.
