2 charged after Clarksville soldier stabbed nearly 70 times – WSMV 4
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – Two people have been charged in connection to the murder of 23-year-old Army PFC Katia Duenas-Aguilar, according to the Clarksville Police Department (CPD).Aguilar, who was stationed at Fort Campbell, KY, was found in a home on Tiny Town Road on May 18, 2024. According to an autopsy report, she had at least 55 stab wounds and 13 incised wounds.The response sparked an immediate homicide investigation.The investigation led to the arrest of 35-year-old Sofia Rodas and 40-year-old Reynaldo Salinas Cruz, the husband of Aguilar.CPD said Rodas was charged with first-degree murder and tampering with evidence. Cruz was also charged with tampering with evidence.At the time of their indictment, CPD said both Rodas and Cruz were in federal custody on unrelated charges not associated with the homicide investigation.
