The stakes get higher and higher with every click until you can’t even remember why you’re there in the first place. —TCIt only takes 15 minutes to experience this first-person thriller that stars block-headed criminals. Each scene crashes right into the next as a story about a heist gone wrong plays out. It’s intense, it’s heartfelt, and it’s bold for a game that can be played on your lunch break. —TCYou feel like a speedrunner playing this first-person shooter with cards instead of guns. Every level is an obstacle course full of monsters to shoot as you slide by. It’s one of the smoothest platformers around and will have you chasing record times before you know it. —TCChicory is the game you’d get if Link’s sword was a paintbrush. The color in the world is gone, and it’s your job to fix it by solving puzzles and exploring dungeons with paint. The charming little story is just as creative as its premise, and it has an excellent soundtrack by Celeste and Minecraft composer Lena Raine. —TCHideo Kojima’s 2019 sci-fi horror adventure game is unlike anything the acclaimed developer has ever made, and with the sequel set to launch this summer, now’s the perfect time to experience it. Assume the role of Sam Porter Bridges, a courier sent on a mission to reunite America in a post-apocalyptic future wracked by supernatural devastation. —TESloclap’s brutal beat-’em-up puts players in the role of a martial artist embarking on a quest to avenge their late father. The twist is that every time the player dies, they’re resurrected by a magical talisman and age up, gaining access to more powerful attacks, but at the cost of their overall health. —TEFrictional Games’ survival horror roguelike is the best entry in the Amnesia franchise to date.
