DriveHub Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how DriveHub handles information when you use the DriveHub Android application and related services.
1. Overview
DriveHub is an Android application designed primarily for in-vehicle use. It provides launcher functionality, vehicle-related features, OBD connectivity, widgets, layouts and optional online functionality.
2. Data Controller
DriveHub is developed and operated by NetQuick in Switzerland.
3. Personal Data
DriveHub does not require you to create a conventional personal user account for its core functionality. The application is designed to process as much information locally on your device as reasonably possible.
4. Vehicle and OBD Data
DriveHub may communicate with OBD-compatible vehicle adapters and process vehicle information such as diagnostic and sensor values. This information is primarily processed locally on your device for displaying vehicle information and providing DriveHub functionality.
5. Location Data
Some optional DriveHub features may require access to your device's location, for example map or location-related functionality. Location access is only available when the required Android permission has been granted by you.
DriveHub does not sell your location data.
6. Bluetooth and Nearby Devices
DriveHub may request Bluetooth or nearby-device permissions where required to discover, connect to, or communicate with compatible vehicle hardware such as OBD adapters.
7. Network Access
DriveHub may use an Internet or local-network connection for features that require communication with external or user-configured services. Core functionality that does not require such communication is processed locally where possible.
8. DriveHub Server
DriveHub may communicate with NetQuick-operated DriveHub services for functions such as device authentication, layouts, profiles or other application services.
Technical information necessary to provide these services may be processed, including device identifiers generated for DriveHub, authentication tokens, timestamps and ordinary server log information such as IP addresses.
9. Device Authentication
DriveHub may use a device registration and authentication mechanism. Device identifiers and authentication credentials are used to identify authorized DriveHub installations and protect server-side services.
10. Google Maps and Related Services
If you use functionality provided by Google Maps or other Google services, information may be processed by Google according to Google's own privacy policies and terms. DriveHub does not control Google's independent processing of information.
11. Google Play
When DriveHub is installed or obtained through Google Play, Google may process information relating to installation, updates, device compatibility and use of Google Play according to Google's own privacy policies.
12. Purchases and DriveHub Pro
Optional DriveHub Pro functionality may be purchased through Google Play. Payment information is handled by Google Play. DriveHub does not receive or store your complete payment-card or bank-account details.
DriveHub may receive information necessary to determine whether a DriveHub Pro entitlement is valid.
13. MQTT and User-Configured Services
DriveHub may provide optional integration with MQTT or other services configured by you. Information sent to such systems is transmitted according to your configuration. NetQuick is not responsible for the privacy practices or security of third-party systems configured by the user.
14. CAN and Other Vehicle Interfaces
Features involving CAN bus or other vehicle interfaces may process vehicle data locally when such functionality is available and enabled.
15. Permissions
DriveHub requests Android permissions only where they are required for application functionality. Depending on the features you use, these may include permissions relating to location, Bluetooth, nearby devices, notifications or other Android platform capabilities.
16. Advertising
DriveHub does not include third-party advertising functionality operated by NetQuick and does not sell personal information for advertising purposes.
17. Analytics and Tracking
DriveHub does not intentionally use third-party advertising trackers to create advertising profiles of its users.
18. Log Data
Technical logs may be generated by the application, Android, connected services or NetQuick servers for operation, security and troubleshooting. Such logs may contain technical information including timestamps, application errors, device-related identifiers and network information.
19. Data Retention
Locally stored DriveHub data remains on your device until it is removed by the application, by you, or when application data is deleted. Server-side technical data is retained only as reasonably necessary for operation, security, troubleshooting and applicable legal obligations.
20. Data Sharing
NetQuick does not sell your personal data. Information may be shared with service providers only where necessary to provide functionality you use, comply with legal obligations, or protect the security and integrity of the service.
21. Data Security
Reasonable technical measures are used to protect DriveHub services and information processed by them. No method of electronic storage or transmission can, however, guarantee absolute security.
22. Children's Privacy
DriveHub is not specifically directed at children and is intended for use in connection with vehicles and related equipment.
23. Your Choices
Android permissions can be reviewed or revoked through your device settings. Locally stored application data can be removed using Android's application settings or by uninstalling DriveHub.
24. Changes to This Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated when DriveHub functionality or data handling changes. The current version will be published at this location and the "Last updated" date will be changed accordingly.
